Bank statement PDF to CSV, free.

Free tool

Drop a PDF statement you downloaded yourself. Confirm your email, see the first rows here and get the whole thing as a CSV file for Excel or Google Sheets.

No sign-up. No bank login. Our server and Google's Gemini AI read your PDF, and we never store it. The CSV arrives in your inbox.

Drop your PDF statement here

  • One PDF up to 5 MB and 20 pages.
  • Any bank or card statement that lists dates, descriptions and amounts, in any currency.
  • Your PDF is held in our server's memory while it is read and is not saved anywhere. Google's Gemini AI reads its pages and keeps them up to 55 days for abuse checks only, and does not train on them. The CSV goes to your email, nowhere else.

Your PDF goes through our server, which holds it in memory only while it is read and never saves it, to Google's Gemini AI, our processor: Google keeps the pages and its answer up to 55 days for abuse checks only, and does not train on them. No row of your statement is stored. The CSV exists in the email we send to the address you confirm, and in none of our storage.

How it works.

  1. Download your statement

From your bank's website or app, as a PDF. One file, up to 5 MB and 20 pages.

  2. Drop it here and confirm your email

A 6-digit code proves the address is yours. The CSV is sent to that address and no other.

  3. Check the preview, open the CSV

The first rows appear on this page. The whole file arrives by email, ready for Excel or Google Sheets.

What happens to your PDF.

As little as the job needs. Your statement is not kept.

  • No bank login, ever. You use a statement you downloaded yourself.
  • Your PDF goes to our server, which holds it in memory only while it is read. It is not saved to a disk, an object store or a database, and it is cleared from memory when the reading ends.
  • The pages are read by Google's Gemini API, a paid service that Google provides to us as a processor. Google keeps the pages and its answer up to 55 days for abuse checks only, and does not train on them. Google staff may review what its abuse filters flag, and Google may store the data outside your country.
  • No row of your statement is written to any database. The first 10 rows wait in memory until this page fetches them once, or for 10 minutes, then they are gone.
  • The CSV exists in the email we send to your confirmed address and in our mail provider's delivery of it. How long the provider and your mailbox keep that email is not up to us, so delete it when you no longer need it.
  • Our logs hold counts and codes only: never an address, a file name, a merchant, an amount or a row.
  • Only if you tick the box: your address stays with us for money tips and Yavo updates, until you unsubscribe. Every mail has an unsubscribe link.
  • To stop abuse we keep a keyed hash of your address and of the code for at most 10 minutes, and request counters, also hashed, for at most 3 days.

Questions.

How do I open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets?

In Excel, double-click the file, or choose Data, then From Text/CSV. If everything lands in one column, set the delimiter to comma. In Google Sheets, choose File, then Import, upload the file and keep the comma separator. The file is UTF-8 with a header row, so accents and symbols come through.

Which banks and statements work?

There is no list. If your bank or card gives you a PDF statement with a table of dates, descriptions and amounts, the reader can usually handle it, in any currency. It reads the layout the way a person would instead of matching a template, so an unusual layout can come out wrong. A password-protected PDF, a file over 5 MB and one over 20 pages are not accepted.

What is in the CSV?

One row per statement line, in the order the statement prints them, with the columns date, description, amount, currency, direction and balance. The date is YYYY-MM-DD, the amount has a dot decimal and money out is negative, direction says debit or credit, and the balance is empty where the statement prints none.

How accurate is it?

An AI reads your PDF, so mistakes are possible. Compare the totals with your statement before you rely on the file. A line that cannot be turned into a row is left out and counted, and this page tells you how many. If pages could not be read, we send no file at all instead of a file with pages missing.

Is it safe?

Your PDF is held in our server's memory while it is read and is not saved anywhere. Google's Gemini AI reads the pages as our processor, keeps them up to 55 days for abuse checks only, and does not train on them. No row of your statement is stored. The CSV exists in the email we send you. The sections above and the page about privacy have the full list.

Is it really free? Why do you ask for my email?

Yes, it is free, with no account. The CSV is sent by email, so we confirm that the address is yours with a 6-digit code first. We keep your address only if you tick the box for money tips and Yavo updates.

What are the limits?

One PDF at a time, up to 5 MB and 20 pages. Each email address can convert 3 statements a day. When we are busy or have reached the day's limit, the page says so and nothing is kept.

The email did not arrive. What now?

Give it a few minutes and look in spam. This page shows the first rows as soon as the file is ready, and the email is sent at the same time. If this page says the delivery was not confirmed, the email may still be on its way, so please do not convert the file again right away.

Can Yavo import a statement without a spreadsheet?

Yes. Send a CSV, Excel or PDF statement to your personal Yavo import address and the transactions arrive in your budget, categorized. No bank login, no copying rows.

Nothing to type. Nothing to connect.

Statements and receipts by email, receipt photos, voice, and Apple Pay taps on iPhone, all counting against a budget you can actually keep.

Free to start. Premium removes the limits. Cancel anytime.
